Processing of personal data

Data controller: the Universitat Politècnica de València. Data protection officer: dpd@upv.es. The privacy policy of the UPV describes the general framework.

Purpose. To make known the teaching, research and transfer activity of the group and of the people who belong to it.

What data we publish.

  • About the members of the group: full name, position or role, department and links to public profiles (UPV directory, ORCID, Scopus, Google Scholar, ResearchGate, LinkedIn and personal websites). That data was already public on the previous website of the group.
  • About projects and articles: the names of the participants and the authors, as they appear in the public authorship information.
  • On each profile: the position, the lines of work, the biography that was already public and the list of publications and projects of the group in which the person’s name appears. These lists come from matching the name with the authors and participants of the tables of the previous website.
  • A photograph only if the person has authorised it. Without authorisation, the profile shows an avatar with the initials.
  • We do not publish e-mail addresses, phone numbers or other private data.

Legal basis. For the name, position, authorship of publications and projects and links to public profiles: the performance of a task carried out in the public interest by the university, the dissemination of its teaching and research activity (article 6.1.e of the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR). For photographs: the consent of the person (article 6.1.a).

Source of the data. The people themselves and public sources: the previous website of the group, the publications and the UPV directories.

Recipients. As this is a public website, anyone who visits it. The group does not pass the data to third parties and does not transfer it outside the European Economic Area. The services we link to (ORCID, Scopus, LinkedIn…) belong to third parties.

Retention. A person’s data is published while they belong to the group. The authorship of articles and projects remains as a scientific record. If you leave the group or ask us, we remove your profile and your photo.

Cookies and tracking

This website is static. It uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no forms. It does not load fonts, scripts or images from other domains. The filters of the Research page and the copy buttons run in your browser and send nothing. If you press the light or dark theme button, your browser stores that choice (the key rogle-theme) in the local storage of your device. It is not a cookie, it is not sent to any server and it does not identify you.

Like any web server, the hosting service of the UPV may log technical connection data, such as the IP address and the date of the visit, for security and operation. The UPV manages that log. See the cookie policy of the UPV.

Some links lead to third-party services, such as Google Sheets, ORCID or LinkedIn. Those sites have their own cookies and privacy policies. The group does not control them.
